Do Macbooks come with Microsoft Office already installed on them? or do you have to buy the program and put it on yourself?

Download open office, it's opensoure and free. It is compatible with all major office suites.

openoffice might need you to configure X11 settings.. try neooffice.. i guess its based off of openoffice and available only for mac.. easy to install and ready to use..

Microsoft office is so expensive! Go with iWork '09. If you buy your mac online they can preinstall it and it would only be about 50 bucks. Compared to the 79 bucks it would cost separate. And then compared to the price of Microsoft office it's a great deal. Watch some videos about iWork on the apple site. Personally, I'm never going to associate my mac with anything Microsoft related. : )

never buy it from apple or microsoft... go to craigslist.. they sell it for $25 bucks.. its mac office 08 and it works perfectly
