I want to spray my macbook pro what paint should i use? Mitch

Question posted by Mitchellbrown on April 26th, 2008

Sounds weird but take it to a body shop... Seriously, you'd be surprised what they can do.

I went to one and the guy is repainting my Guitar, and the finish is what you'd expect from the
manufacturer.

Worth a try

Step 1: Go to http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Browse/MacBook_Pro
Step 2: Select your config
Step 3: Follow the guides to COMPLETELY strip your computer down to just the casing (or strip what you want)
Step 4: Follow this turorial for http://www.boxgods.com/dept/modding/index.php?Action=Article&ID=198 they will tell you to use
self etching primer that eats into the aluminum to give it a coat that won't peel off easily

Otherwise, just go and dip your macbook into a big bucket of paint from homedepot because you will save yourself time and
your paint job will look just as good ;-)

p.s. I will do it for $2,000 and it will look professional :-D

has anyone ever just colored the entire thing with permanent marker??? I was thinking of having my MacBook Air colored black, but if a sharpie would do it... that would save me a ton!
